Author: Robert Alexander

Robert Alexander is the author of Can’t Let Nobody Ride My Bike and But She Hit Me First. He enjoys traveling, reading, writing, mentoring and spending time with his family. Robert Alexander is a Bay Area native with over 16 years as an academic counselor, instructor and consultant. He knows the importance of higher education and how it helped to transform his own life, which makes him so passionate about doing the same for young students. His main goal has always been to empower Black and Latino youth by improving their critical literacy and critical thinking; in conjunction with fostering a sense of academic engagement. So Robert founded Hood To Higher Education. Hood To Higher Ed is passionate about helping historically underrepresented students succeed in college, as well as mentoring new counselors and instructors. In addition, to developing curriculum Hood to Higher Education uses their expertise to train instructors with culturally responsive pedagogies and instructional skills.
